Our Way of Saying Thanks
In the words of Khalil Gibran: “You give little when you give of
your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly
give”.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) policy states that blood must be
donated by voluntary, non-remunerated donors such as you with no
expectation of reward.
Donating blood for altruistic reasons, knowing that you will save a
life, should therefore be the greatest reward of all.
SANBS does have a reward programme to encourage its blood donors to
donate regularly.
Upon reaching various milestone donations, donors receive pins,
medals or gifts or invited to an awards event. They also receive
letters regular phone calls to appreciate them.
Each time you donate blood, you give life.
