Cytogenetics

Our Cytogenetics laboratory based in Kwa-Zulu Natal (KZN) is a SANAS-accredited testing facility that provides pre- and postnatal genetic diagnostic testing services to the KZN public healthcare sector.

Our testing services include:
  1. Karyotyping on peripheral and cord blood samples, amniotic fluid and products of conception.
  2. QF-PCR aneuploidy testing on peripheral & cord blood specimens and amniotic fluid. specimen.
  3. Alpha Fetoprotein: Amniotic fluid specimens (Gestation:13-29 weeks)
